Memberhsip
Regular Membership
Regular Membership in Proteus Yacht Club is open to all sailors under the age of 21 and is required for sailors participating in any Proteus Yacht Club or Team Breakwater clinic, class, or any program. Regular members are entitled to all the benefits and privileges afforded thereto under our by-laws, including full voting rights, and reciprocity arrangements.

Sustaining Membership
Sustaining memberships are offered and encouraged for family, friends, and alumni over the age of 21, interested in supporting Proteus Yacht Club and Jr. Sailing, and taking part in other Club activities. These include volunteering, social activities, private sailing lessons, sailing events, and committee membership.
SUPPORTING Membership
Friends, Family, and Alumni, are encouraged to help support Proteus Yacht Club’s Junior Sailng Programs through generous donations, or gifts. 100% of any donation or gift will be used directly for sailing.
Additoinal Requirements
Active and current memberships in both the United States Optimist Dinghy Association (“USODA”) and US Sailing or appropriate class organization (Laser / 420) is required for regular memberships, and encouraged for sustainable membership.
